Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorraine Spektor.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My partner and I were working in the interior design business for quite some time and constantly needed a high-end, modern style gaming piece. We were never lucky enough to find what we need and decided to fulfill this niche and make it our goal to be the sole provider for these custom gaming pieces. We are a total custom build brand where every client’s imagination can be applied and their piece made exactly what they want it to be.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I don’t believe there are any business out there that have a smooth road, however even through all the obstacles – we absolutely love what we do. At Elevate, we go through extensive and intricate quality control through every step of the way. Being a perfectionist in this field requires a lot of time and patience since customer satisfaction is priority. Since these are all one-off pieces, detail orientation is a must!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Elevate Customs story. Tell us more about the business.
What is great about our business is that we take it to the next level. What I mean by that, is that most of the clients that I work with become comfortable enough to know that they can call us at any given moment. There have been many long phone calls that weren’t even about their tables at all. We truly specialize in making these beautiful table’s the perfect match for their owner. It’s such a satisfaction being able to provide a modern art statement piece with the perfect functionality to bring the whole family together and impress everyone around.

Unlike many other company’s – we offer handmade, intricately designed gaming tables that can be purchased alongside with a whole family. Meaning, you will not be stuck with just a pool table and wonder where to get a matching shuffleboard table from – you can find it all under one roof.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck is a word that I don’t really live by. I have only been lucky a few times in my life. That was giving birth to my two beautiful children and a $500.00 scratcher. Otherwise, as a mom of a 1 and 2 year-old, I find myself trying to balance a business and still be the best mom that I can be. I believe that a successful business is built on hard work and dedication.
